Haven't taken many pictures lately so I thought I put up a mixture from the past.

The picture on the left was taken in Pinetop on the Rim Trail. She was about 2 and this was one of her first hikes. She made about 2 miles and seemed to enjoy it. The shot on the right was about a year later when she got her new trike.

Its fun to watch kids change. One day she's afraid of slides and the next she can't get enough. At Sheep's Crossing near Mt. Baldy everyone enjoys a rest after hiking.

White Sands_11.jpg (12872 bytes)

We went to Carlsbad in the spring of 2001 and Sam & her Mom enjoyed the cave but Sam was a pansy about the guano smell till we got past the bat cave. They both enjoyed White Sands. Mom makes art while Samantha does what kids do.

Hiking is something you do in the White Mountains. The picture on the left is October on Escudilla and the shot on the right is along the Blue River.

Winter can be bleak but most days are sunny. Kids always make the best of it. Everything is new!

These are just some shots I like. The picture of Sam & her Mom is at Goosenecks in southern Utah. The one of her and me, represented I felt, the optimism of the young alongside the reservation of their elders.
Sam is 7 now and growing up  fast.
Too fast. It is good for practice to have a built in model though at 8.
We went to Yellowstone this summer, (2006) and she's 9.
Swimming was big the summer of 2007
